About The Position

The Host/Hostess welcomes guests, engages with them while seating them promptly, and shares information about specials, new menu items, and promotions. The role also manages the waiting list during busy periods, thanks guests as they leave, and assists other team members as needed. The position requires following company safety and sanitation policies and procedures. The employer offers consistent flexible hours, overtime availability, opportunities to advance to Shift Supervisor or Management, a non-corporate family-type environment, and no late-night hours.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
Engage guests in friendly conversation while seating them in a timely fashion.
Advise guests of current specials, new menu items, and promotions.
Manage the restaurant waiting list during high-volume times and set accurate expectations for guests.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
