About The Position

Frida’s in University City is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Host / Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for guests, the Host plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and organized dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and seating flow, and supporting the service team to ensure smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate has a warm personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay organized during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming first impression
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized wait list when necessary
• Seat guests efficiently while maintaining balanced server sections
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally
• Monitor table turn times and assist with seating flow during service
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth guest transitions
• Support the service team to maintain a positive guest experience
• Assist with setting and clearing tables as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room
• Help ensure the host stand and entry area remain presentable
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing responsibilities
• Support light cleaning and reset tasks at the end of service
