About The Position

Motek, part of the Happy Corner Hospitality collective, is a Mediterranean concept restaurant. The Host/Hostess welcomes guests and helps create an organized, warm entry point, setting the tone for the dining experience and supporting the smooth flow of guests throughout the restaurant. This role also assists with reservations, waitlists, guest inquiries, takeout orders, and special seating requests, while helping maintain the presentation of guest-facing areas and supporting a cooperative team environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a host/hostess role in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Experience working with SevenRooms.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations efficiently.
• Answer incoming guest calls and assist with general inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders as needed.
• Accommodate guest requests, including seating preferences, highchairs, and other special requests.
• Support takeout and pickup orders as needed.
• Monitor the cleanliness and presentation of the host stand, entrances, menus, and guest areas throughout the shift.
• Use technology such as SevenRooms to seat guests.
• Communicate effectively and support team members to contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.
