About The Position
Community Options, Inc., a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states, is seeking a Host Home Provider in the Council Bluffs, Iowa area. The provider opens their home to an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities and offers a safe, comfortable, 24/7 family-like setting. The role involves supporting the individual’s basic physical and emotional needs and building a comfortable, supportive, genuine relationship to help them live a high-quality life. This is an independently contracted position. Providers are reimbursed at a per-diem rate and receive monthly room and board from the individual they support; the posting states this income is tax exempt.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to provide a safe and comfortable home.
- Ability to establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual supported.
- Openness to supervisory visits in the home.
- Successful completion of trainings through Community Options.
Responsibilities
