LSI is looking for Host Home Providers in the Northwest Iowa region to host an adult with disabilities in their home. Disabilities supported may include intellectual, physical, mental health, and brain injuries. An ideal Host Home Provider should be independent, highly skilled, resourceful, and able to work independently, with excellent communication skills. The care provided should be person-centered, focusing on the individual's goals and specific support needs. The Host Home Provider will provide guidance, support, and care for the individual living in their home, working with them on goals such as shopping, budgeting, coping skills, cooking, personal hygiene, and community integration. The provider will act as an advocate/mentor to help the individual live their best life possible. This is a contracted position where the provider serves as an independent contractor. LSI will assist with matching providers and mentees, and offer support, guidance, and resources for training. Training requirements and a home safety check are necessary before a match can be made and a mentee placed. The average Independent Provider pay is $70,000 annually. LSI is seeking providers across the state and is currently looking for Independent Providers in the Northwest Region, which encompasses 33 counties in northwest Iowa. LSI is continuing to grow and expand its Host Home program.
