About The Position
Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone’s life by becoming a Foster Care / Host Home Provider. This role involves opening your home to an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities, providing a 24/7 family-like setting. The ideal candidate will be available to provide a safe and comfortable home, ensuring the basic physical and emotional needs for a high-quality life, and will be able to establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual they house and support. This is an independently contracted position located in the Maryville/Greater Knoxville, TN area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional is required
- Must be able to successfully complete trainings through Community Options
Responsibilities
- Provide a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
- Provide a safe and comfortable home.
- Ensure the basic physical and emotional needs required for our individuals to live a high-quality life.
- Establish a comfortable, supportive, and genuine relationship with the individual you house and support.
- Be open to supervisory visits in your home.
