About The Position

Onsight Healthcare is hiring a full-time member of its Hospitality and Valet Team at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The team provides a welcoming first and last impression for patients and guests, delivering customer service while supporting patients, visitors, and hospital staff. The role includes valet services, assistance with loading and unloading vehicles, help for people with mobility challenges, and wheelchair or escort services. Employees also manage parking logistics, maintain vehicle and service records, and provide directions and information about hospital facilities. The position pays $13 per hour plus tips. Full-time employees work at least 30 hours per week. Days and shifts vary based on business needs and availability; typical shifts are Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The work is performed outdoors and involves standing, walking, moving with urgency, and pushing or pulling belongings. Employees may be exposed to severe cold, rain, sleet, snow, and other inclement weather.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be eligible to work for any U.S. employer.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have a valid, active in-state regular driver's license; permits and probationary licenses are not accepted.
Have maintained a clean driving record for the past five years.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, compassion, and the ability to support a team.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Operate apps and technology on a tablet and learn new software used for daily tasks.
Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to surroundings and details.
Remain in a stationary position for hours at a time outdoors and move with urgency and speed.
Be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk, stand, push, and pull belongings.
Build effective relationships with hospital staff, patients, guests, and team members.
Speak, read, and write Standard English.
Maintain a calm, composed attitude and de-escalate difficult situations.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, visitors, and staff warmly and provide compassionate, professional customer service.
Provide valet services while ensuring the safety and security of people, vehicles, and belongings.
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and support individuals with mobility challenges, including wheelchair and escort services.
Maintain records, including photographs and records of vehicle condition, as needed.
Manage parking logistics according to site requirements and traffic laws.
Provide accurate directions and helpful information about hospital facilities.
Work with the team to meet metrics and support the client relationship with Onsight Healthcare.
Perform other duties as assigned.
