About The Position

YHA Liverpool Albert Dock is seeking a Hospitality Team Member to help provide memorable guest experiences and exceptional hospitality. The role covers a wide range of customer-facing duties across the hostel. Training, a robust induction, ongoing training, and opportunities for personal growth are provided. This is a fixed-term, flexible contract from November 2026 to November 2027, with a minimum of zero hours per week, at £12.71 per hour. The rate applies to all employees, including those under 21.

Requirements

• Experience working face to face with customers.
• Experience working in a team and helping others achieve a common goal.
• Excellent timekeeping, punctuality, and ability to work to deadlines.
• Flexibility to cover different shifts.
• Ability to manage varying pressures and peaks in workload, prioritise, and handle conflicting duties.
• Knowledge and understanding of YHA’s core purpose.
• Demonstrate YHA’s HEART values.

Responsibilities

• Provide great customer service to customers, members, and guests.
• Work on reception, sharing information about the hostel and local area and ensuring guests feel informed and welcomed.
• Use systems to process guest check-ins and check-outs and handle food and beverage sales and service.
• Carry out housekeeping duties to maintain a comfortable, clean environment.
• Assist with food preparation and serve food and drinks warmly and with hospitality and pride, helping influence sales.
