About The Position

The Hospitality Director is responsible for catering and events at a premier corporate dining account in New Jersey. The role manages a team, builds client relationships, and ensures catering services are of outstanding quality. The director oversees event operations, develops catering plans and menus, and manages staff development and event-related costs and logistics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.
At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 2 years in management; catering management experience is preferred.
Experience booking events, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and sourcing temporary help and equipment.
Ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events.
Develop and maintain the catering marketing plan, including event-planning services for clients and detailed menu development.
Hire, train, and schedule catering staff, and develop existing staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
Ensure successful catering operations, including labor and food cost control, food preparation, transportation, setup, event operations, and cleanup.
