About The Position

A Hospitality Attendant will clean, restock, and maintain the cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, and all assigned areas. This role involves approaching all guest and employee encounters in a friendly, service-oriented manner, maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, and complying with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. The attendant will maintain a friendly and warm atmosphere, be familiar with the hotel’s standard operating procedures, and interact with all guests and employees in a friendly and courteous manner. Key responsibilities include ensuring the correct and timely setup of all breakfast order functions, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the food area, pre-function space, and storage areas, and being familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations while following all hotel safety rules. The role also involves breaking down after functions, properly storing equipment and supplies, and maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures. Specific duties include preparing and serving the daily complimentary breakfast bar, greeting guests and ensuring satisfaction, keeping the breakfast area sufficiently stocked, and ensuring the cleanliness of the breakfast and common public areas. Additionally, the attendant will clean and disinfect bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas, vacuum floors, remove trash, check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies, notify maintenance of needed repairs, and take found items to the lost and found. Related duties as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

  • Breakdown after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and serve the daily complimentary breakfast bar.
  • Greet each guest and ensure guests are satisfied.
  • Ensure breakfast area is sufficiently stocked at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the breakfast and common public area.
  • Clean and disinfect bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policy.
  • Vacuum floors and remove trash.
  • Check complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies, restocking according to the provided hotel checklist and policy.
  • Notify the maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
  • Take found items to designated lost and found areas if a guest has checked out.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
