About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Hospitalist to provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals in the Fredericksburg, Texas area. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility and typically visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients daily. The mobile practice covers facilities within a 40–60-mile radius of the practice location. The position offers full-time work, typically 4–5 weekdays per week, or part-time work of at least 3 weekdays per week. Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are no nights, on-call duties, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians document care in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific electronic medical record. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. W2 physicians earn $200,000–$300,000 per year; the posting says physicians earn an average of $300,000 per year for a 30-hour work week. A work visa is not available.

Requirements

Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where you wish to practice.
Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week.
