About The Position

At Intermountain Health, our Hospitalist Coordinators play a vital role in ensuring patients receive seamless, high-quality care throughout their hospital stay. Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
  • Two years of clinical hospital experience
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
  • RNs hired or promoted into this role must obtain a BSN within three years of hire or promotion if not already completed
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess patient needs
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, etc.

  • Experience with training, auditing, or process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and clinical workflows
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical information systems
