About The Position
Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. This role involves working one week on/one week off and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a sustainable work schedule.
Requirements
- Provide dedicated overnight inpatient care.
- Work one week on/one week off.
- Evaluate and admit patients from the ED.
- Conduct night rounds.
- Manage ongoing inpatient care.
- Provide backup to APPs.
- Assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work).
- Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans.
- Ensure compliance and proper coding.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage ongoing inpatient care.
- Provide backup to APPs and assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
- Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance and proper coding.
