About The Position
Join Prime Healthcare as a Nocturnist at Resurrection Medical Center, a vital community hospital in the Northwest Side of Chicago. Provide exceptional inpatient care during night shifts, ensuring continuity, rapid response, and high-quality outcomes for our patients when they need it most.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for or active Illinois medical license
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours
- 7 on / 7 off schedule
- Admit patients from the emergency department
- Cross-cover and manage existing hospitalized patients
- Respond to overnight clinical changes and rapid responses
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and care teams
- Ensure thorough documentation and effective handoffs
