About The Position

Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. This role involves working one week on/one week off and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a sustainable work schedule.

Requirements

Must be able to work one week on/one week off.
Must be able to provide dedicated overnight inpatient care.
Must be able to evaluate and admit patients from the ED.
Must be able to conduct night rounds.
Must be able to manage ongoing inpatient care.
Must be able to provide backup to APPs.
Must be able to assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
Must be able to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work).
Must be able to maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans.
Must ensure compliance and proper coding.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage ongoing inpatient care.
Provide backup to APPs and assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance and proper coding.
