Hospitalist Medical Director
About The Position
St. Mary's Medical Center and Kansas City Physician Care are seeking a Hospitalist Medical Director to lead the Hospital Medicine team and contribute to critical inpatient care. This is a 90% clinical and 10% administrative role with a 7-on/7-off block schedule and 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The role involves approximately 20 patients per shift, an open ICU, no procedures, and use of Epic EMR. The position is full-time and hospital-employed. Compensation and benefits include a competitive shift rate, quality bonus, sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, directorship stipend, CME allowance, relocation allowance, retirement benefits, a full menu of benefits, and medical malpractice coverage with tail coverage. Paid license and DEA requirements are also noted.
Requirements
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Minimum of three years of post-residency hospitalist experience.
- Demonstrated experience teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
- MD or DO degree.
- Unrestricted Missouri medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current DEA registration.
- BLS or ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
