About The Position

The Director of Operations, Hospitalist Medicine, is an executive responsible for the operational excellence, strategic direction, and overall performance of the Hospital Medicine division. The role leads and manages division operations to drive efficiency across the continuum of care, optimize total cost of care, and enhance the caregiver and patient experience. The Director ensures appropriate allocation and deployment of resources to meet patient-care demands and organizational goals, and fosters strong internal and external partnerships through collaboration with administrative teams and stakeholders across the health system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in operational management or a financial discipline.
• At least 5–7 years of job-related experience.
• A track record of administrative and operational responsibility in an integrated health system.
• For candidates with a clinical background, a master’s degree in the related field of study and demonstrated commensurate operational experience.

Nice To Haves

• Dual degree.
• Membership or fellowship in ACHE.
• Industry certifications in LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO, or similar operational performance or performance management systems.
