Hospital Case Cart Aide - 11pm-7:30am
About The Position
Interim Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Hospital Surgical Aide to work in a busy operating room at a local hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The role prepares, assembles, and delivers surgical case carts and sterile supplies; cleans and sterilizes surgical rooms between procedures; and stocks operating rooms with necessary supplies and equipment. The aide may also travel to other hospital areas to deliver samples to the lab or retrieve supplies, and communicates courteously with the OR and other hospital departments by telephone or intercom. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The listed pay rate is $28.62 to $31.80 per hour. Requirements
- Experience working in an operating room or surgery center.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
- Ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
- Comfort navigating a large hospital setting and being on one's feet for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and deliver surgical case carts and sterile supplies to the operating room.
- Clean and sterilize surgical rooms between procedures.
- Stock surgical rooms with necessary supplies and equipment and keep the OR fully stocked.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Make runs to other areas of the hospital as needed, such as taking samples to the lab or obtaining supplies.
- Communicate courteously and helpfully by telephone or intercom with the OR and other hospital areas.
