About The Position

Interim Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Hospital Surgical Aide to work in a busy operating room at a local hospital. The role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering surgical case carts and sterile supplies; cleaning and sterilizing surgical rooms between procedures; and keeping operating rooms stocked with necessary supplies and equipment. The aide also maintains a clean work area, makes runs to other hospital areas as needed, and communicates courteously and helpfully with the operating room and other departments by telephone or intercom.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position is located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and pays $28.62 to $31.80 per hour. Requirements

• Experience working in an operating room or surgery center.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
• Ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Comfort navigating a large hospital setting and being on one's feet for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and deliver surgical case carts and sterile supplies to the operating room.
• Clean and sterilize surgical rooms between procedures.
• Stock surgical rooms with necessary supplies and equipment and keep the operating room fully stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Make runs to other areas of the hospital as needed, such as taking samples to the lab or getting supplies.
• Communicate courteously and helpfully by telephone or intercom with the operating room and other areas of the hospital.
