Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • This position may involve working in a hospital morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures while maintaining a professional presence for patients, staff, and guests.
  • Communicate with site contacts, staff, and/or first responders as needed regarding incidents, medical emergencies, and other security-related concerns.
