About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Ft Walton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to meet hospital vaccination requirements is required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital setting that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry for employees, patients, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site protocols.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or public emergency responders as appropriate.
