Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to control access, observe activity, and support a professional environment for those at the location.
  • Assist with security-related requests and communication during medical emergencies, visitor concerns, and/or operational disruptions in coordination with site contacts and first responders when needed.
