Hospital Pharmacy Technician - Four 10 Hour Day Shift

About The Position

Vernon Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join its hospital pharmacy team. The technician works alongside pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to support pharmaceutical care for patients throughout the hospital and clinics. No prior hospital pharmacy experience is required, and training is available for the right candidate. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, with hours between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Fine motor skills necessary for sterile compounding under USP <797> and USP <800>.

A Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License application must be submitted by the date of hire.

Responsibilities

Manage medication inventory in Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.
Manage vaccine inventories and support compliance with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program.
Package and unit-dose medications.
Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications.
Assist with preparation of monoclonal antibody and chemotherapy infusions.
Clean, stock, and audit Omnicell medication storage systems.
Monitor medication storage temperatures.
Support 340B program compliance activities.
Maintain accurate records and inventory controls.
Assist pharmacists in delivering safe and effective patient care.
