Hospital Maintenance Technician
About The Position
A small-town hospital just outside Virginia, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time, permanent Hospital Maintenance Technician. The role is responsible for the overall safety and operational efficiency of the facility’s work environment. The technician performs routine maintenance checks and troubleshoots and repairs hospital equipment and systems as needed. The position calls for a strong background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security repairs and maintenance. The technician reports directly to the hospital’s Facilities Director and works Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Completion and certification from a technical academic institution in electricity, plumbing, or a related field.
- A Minnesota Special Boiler License, or eligibility to obtain one before hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of work experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support the overall safety and operational efficiency of the facility’s work environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks.
- Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on hospital equipment and systems.
- Handle repairs and maintenance involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
