About The Position

Provide a superior level of cleaning quality in a hospital environment and help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal. The role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned hospital areas, following HHS cleaning procedures, and providing friendly service to patients, staff, and other individuals in the hospital. Full-time and part-time positions are available at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center, with day, evening, and night shifts available. The hourly wage is $16.50. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
Handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Operate equipment necessary to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant duties, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned hospital areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas.
Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
