About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a full-time Hospital Floor Technician at Tennova Newport Medical Center in Newport, Tennessee. The role cleans and maintains facilities and locations on a healthcare campus. The technician may work anywhere on the client premises, with duties varying according to account needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The position pays $14.00 per hour, works the first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and includes rotating weekends and holidays. Attendance and sign-on bonuses are mentioned, along with a $500 employee referral bonus paid in two installments: $200 at three months and $250 at six months. The role involves monitoring assigned areas and corridors for spills and debris, cleaning floor edges and baseboards, dust mopping and damp mopping, removing scuffs, and using floor-care equipment for project work. Floor technicians may also perform area-cleaner or waste-disposal-technician duties and other related work. Applicants must have janitorial-industry experience and previous floor-technician experience. A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent, is required. Knowledge of floor-care equipment and techniques is preferred, and medical-cleaning experience is a plus. Post-offer medical screening, background screening, and a drug test are required.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris.
Clean corners, edges, and baseboards in assigned areas.
Dust mop hard-floor areas, including behind doors and around movable objects.
Remove floor marks and scuffs.
Damp mop floors using the proper assigned cleaning chemical or use a scrubbing machine.
Use floor machines for assigned project work.
Burnish floors using a high-speed floor machine as directed.
Scrub and strip floors as needed or assigned.
May perform Area Cleaner job duties.
May perform Waste Disposal Technician job duties.
Perform related work as required.
