The Hospital Cook is responsible for preparing meals using recipes and proper cooking techniques, utilizing kitchen equipment, and cooking a variety of foods. This role involves reviewing menus, planning meals, preparing ingredients, and ensuring food is ready on time for service. Additionally, the cook must adhere to all food safety and cleanliness standards, maintain proper food temperatures and storage, and follow Department of Health and infection control guidelines. The position also requires providing friendly and respectful customer service, following CARES service standards, and adhering to all workplace safety guidelines. Attending required training and in-services is also a part of the responsibilities.
