About The Position

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking candidates for its Hospital Administrator Program at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL. Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is a 120-bed acute care hospital serving Manatee and Sarasota counties, known for its Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission and a medical staff of over 500 physicians. The selected candidate will manage day-to-day operations of various hospital departments, implement strategic initiatives from the CEO and COO, and manage assigned departments to optimize service quality and hospital profits. Participants will also enroll in corporate Leadership Development classes to prepare for future executive roles within UHS, such as COO.

Requirements

Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions including budgeting and forecasting for a limited number of departments and/or projects.
Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations.
Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees.
Master’s degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).
Hospital management experience at a mid-level (3-7 years).
Acute Care Hospital Experience required.
Must be open to Relocation.
Strong Project Management experience.
Strong critical thinking skillset.

Administrative Residency or Fellowship a plus.

Responsibilities
