Hospice Volunteer (Unpaid)
About The Position
BAYADA Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to serve as Volunteers in Atlantic and Cape May Counties, New Jersey. This role is based out of our Linwood, New Jersey office and supports clients and their families facing terminal illness and end of life. As a Volunteer, Hospice Services, you will be a vital part of our Hospice Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), providing assistance with home management, emotional support, and other supportive tasks. Your contributions will help ensure our clients receive care with compassion, excellence, and reliability, and that our caregivers are well-supported.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
- Meet all state requirements for volunteers, where applicable
- Meet the BAYADA requirements and state regulations for the discipline, if providing professional services

Responsibilities
- Assistance with administrative support at the hospice office
- Assistance with hospice events such as memorial services, patient celebrations, and legacy projects
- Assistance with home management tasks
- Providing companionship and friendship to clients
- Providing caregiver relief
- Sharing special talents, such as music or art
- Providing assistance as a transport escort, as needed
- Assisting with clerical work and other office tasks
- Memorial Service Planning
- Bereavement support to loved ones
