Hospice Volunteer Coordinator
About The Position
Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is hiring a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator for its Springfield, Missouri office. The coordinator develops and implements volunteer training and orientation, assigns volunteers, maintains personnel files and monthly statistics, and supports communication, supervision, and performance evaluations. The role includes reviewing plans of care and visit notes, ensuring volunteers complete and submit timesheets and visit notes, and participating in meetings and activities. Requirements
- Supervisory and/or leadership experience.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the volunteer training and orientation program.
- Provide volunteers with assignments and review the plan of care before patient visits when necessary.
- Maintain volunteer personnel files.
- Attend meetings and activities.
- Maintain monthly statistics.
- Foster open communication with volunteers.
- Conduct periodic supervisory visits.
- Complete volunteer performance evaluations.
- Ensure timesheets and visit notes are completed and submitted.
- Review visit notes to ensure the plan of care is being followed.
- Pursue self-development through formal education, workshops, conferences, and professional organizations.
