Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare•Phoenix, AZ
•Onsite

About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice provides compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care in pets’ homes, helping families through end-of-life decisions with dignity, peace, and empathy. The veterinarian practices independently in a mobile role, serving Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Mesa, Goodyear, Queen Creek, Arizona, and surrounding areas. Visits are deliberately limited so the veterinarian can listen, explain options, and give families time without the pace of a traditional clinic. The company provides onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, training, and support from experienced colleagues. Scheduling options include five-day full-time, four-day full-time, and two- or three-day schedules, including self-managed part-time options. Veterinarians on self-managed schedules may choose when to work; weekend days are selected by the veterinarian, with four weekend days per month. Compensation varies by schedule: five-day full-time offers a $135,000 base salary plus quarterly bonus opportunities; four-day full-time starts at $110,000 plus quarterly bonus opportunities; two- and three-day schedules have prorated compensation. Self-managed scheduling opportunities are advertised as offering potential annual earnings of $130,000 to $165,000. The role requires a DVM, VMD, or BVMS degree, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to meet the stated lifting requirements. Candidates undergo license verification, a background check, and a driving-record review before starting. The position is offered without a non-compete agreement.
