About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in West Chester, Liberty Township, Ohio, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Veterinarians make home visits so pets can receive end-of-life care in a familiar setting, and families can say goodbye with dignity and peace. The work is designed to allow time for listening, explaining options, and supporting families without the pace of a traditional clinic. Veterinarians practice independently on the road with onboarding, mentorship, and support from experienced colleagues. Schedule options range from two to five days per week, with self-managed scheduling available. Compensation is prorated according to schedule and ranges from $65,000 to $155,000. Five-day and four-day schedules are described as full-time and include guaranteed salary plus quarterly bonus opportunities. Weekend days are chosen by the veterinarian: four weekend days per month. The position does not include a non-compete agreement.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.
