About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in West Chester, Liberty Township, Ohio, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Care is delivered in clients’ homes, with a focus on giving families time, guidance, and support during end-of-life moments. Veterinarians practice independently in the field while receiving onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and ongoing support from experienced colleagues. The role offers schedule options ranging from two days per week to five days per week, including self-managed part-time scheduling. Full-time schedules are available in four- or five-day formats, with guaranteed salary and quarterly bonus opportunities. Compensation is prorated based on schedule and ranges from $65,000 to $155,000. Veterinarians choose four weekend days per month rather than following a fixed weekend rotation.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.
