•Onsite

About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Fort Worth, Arlington, Keller, North Richland Hills, Colleyville, Texas, and surrounding areas. Care is provided in clients’ homes, where veterinarians help families understand their options and support pets through end-of-life care with dignity and compassion. The role offers a slower-paced alternative to traditional clinic practice, with a few appointments each day and time to listen and answer families’ questions. Veterinarians practice independently while traveling to appointments, with onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues available for support. Candidates can choose a schedule ranging from two days per week to five days per week, including self-managed part-time scheduling options. Full-time compensation ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 depending on the schedule. A five-day full-time schedule offers a $135,000 base salary, and a four-day full-time schedule starts at $110,000; both include quarterly bonus opportunities. Compensation for two- and three-day schedules is prorated. The position includes four weekend days per month, selected by the veterinarian rather than assigned in a fixed rotation. Candidates must complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before their start date. Heartstrings states that it is family-owned, not owned by private equity, and does not use non-compete agreements.
