About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Little Rock, College Station & McAlmont, Arkansas. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate oversight. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, emphasizing a commitment to not using non-compete contracts, allowing veterinarians to build their careers on their own terms. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking to move away from the fast pace of general or emergency practice, those returning to work after a break, or individuals needing to build a schedule around family commitments.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted

Responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pets.
- Conduct difficult conversations with compassion, dignity, and respect.
- Work independently in a mobile veterinary environment.
- Be available for rotational weekend coverage.
- Lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
- Maintain professional communication with the team and families.
