About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice provides gentle hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in the comfort of their homes. We are seeking a Compassionate Veterinarian to practice medicine without the pace and pressure of a traditional clinic. This role allows for independent practice on the road with strong team support, focusing on providing end-of-life care with kindness, dignity, and peace. The position emphasizes a slower pace, allowing ample time for each appointment, and offers a schedule built around the veterinarian's life.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance
- License verification, background check, and driving record review
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care for pets in their homes.
- Conduct hospice care and in-home euthanasia.
- Spend ample time with each patient and family, listening and explaining.
- Practice independently on the road while having a supportive team available.
- Manage a schedule with a limited number of appointments per day.
