About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Pasadena, Burbank, Altadena & Arcadia, California. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production dashboards, allowing veterinarians to focus on providing compassionate end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not utilize non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced doctors seeking a slower pace than general or emergency practice, those returning to medicine after a break, or individuals needing to build a schedule around family commitments. The ideal candidate excels at difficult conversations and finds fulfillment in providing meaningful end-of-life care.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
- Professional Communication Skills

Responsibilities
- Practice veterinary medicine in a mobile, in-home environment.
- Provide hospice care and perform euthanasia for pets.
- Work independently in a mobile setting.
- Be available for rotational weekend coverage.
- Lift up to 45 lbs unassisted.
