About The Position

Mountain Valley Hospice is hiring an after-hours registered nurse to provide compassionate care and reassurance to hospice patients and their families. The nurse is primarily on call from home, responding to patient needs and making in-home visits when necessary. The role offers independence and autonomy to assess patient needs and use clinical judgment while remaining available to provide hands-on nursing care throughout the assigned service area. The available schedule is Friday through Sunday, 4 PM to 8 AM. The posting also mentions weekday, weekend, or rotating night schedule options.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond to changing patient needs.
• Ability to remain within the assigned service area during scheduled on-call hours and travel to patients' homes when needed.

• Hospice, home health, or related nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities
