About The Position

Residential Home Health and Hospice is hiring a Weekend Registered Nurse for a hospice position providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Lisle, Illinois area. The role delivers patient-centered care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life, and involves working independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The position is scheduled every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, for 36 hours per week. It is eligible for a $9,000 first-year success bonus tied to key milestones.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the employee works.
• Two years of RN experience.
• Clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to spend approximately 20% of the workday driving to and from patient locations.
• Successful completion of a drug screen prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered hospice care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Perform urgent assessments and manage patients’ symptoms and pain.
• Provide compassionate end-of-life support in real time.
• Support and guide patients and families during weekends and crisis situations.
• Coordinate care needs and respond to changing patient conditions using clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical record documentation.
• Travel to patient homes within the assigned territory.
