About The Position

Serenity Hospice Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team serving patients and families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN seeking a rewarding career in hospice care with a predictable 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families while working alongside a supportive, interdisciplinary team. During your scheduled week, you will provide after-hours clinical support, symptom management, and compassionate care to hospice patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours calls from patients, families, and caregivers.
• Conduct on-call visits to address symptom management and urgent patient needs.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Provide education and support to patients and caregivers regarding hospice services, medications, and symptom management.
• Complete timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage according to the assigned schedule.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that reflects the goals and wishes of each patient and family.
