About The Position

MultiCare is seeking an RN to join its Hospice team. The role uses specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care within a multidisciplinary approach. MultiCare describes its nursing environment as one where nurses participate in clinical decision-making, maintain open communication with colleagues, receive support for professional development, and understand the future of nursing at the organization. The position is 1.0 FTE, on an evening shift, with a Thursday through Sunday schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years of the initial hire date. An RN with 15 or more years of service or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may be considered to satisfy this requirement instead of an education agreement.
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP).
National Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing.
One year of Home Health or Hospice experience.
One year of Medicare Certified Home Health or Hospice experience.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
