About The Position

As a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), you provide comfort-focused care that supports hospice patients and their loved ones during life’s delicate moments. You work at the center of an interdisciplinary care team, building relationships with patients, families, physicians, and teammates, with autonomy to practice at the top of your license and organizational support. The position covers South Hillsborough County, including Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Riverview, and Sun City. The schedule is Monday through Friday. Pay is based on experience, with mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care that maximizes comfort and quality of life.
• Partner with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary group to create and carry out care plans.
• Perform comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual assessments to guide care decisions.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers, meeting them where they are.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure continuity and dignity.
• Document care clearly and accurately to reflect patient needs and progress.
• Participate in on-call or admission rotations as needed.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
