About The Position

The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to hospice patients, with a focus on comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The role works at the center of an interdisciplinary care team and builds relationships with patients, families, physicians, and teammates. Nurses have autonomy to practice at the top of their license and support patients and caregivers through hospice care.

The position is based on a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule with an on-call rotation. Flexible coverage areas are available in White Bear Lake, Mahtomedi, Vadnais Heights, Shoreview, Hugo, Roseville, North Oaks, Arden Hills, Maplewood, and surrounding areas. Pay is $90,000–$95,000 per year, based on experience.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care that maximizes comfort and quality of life.
• Partner with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary group to create and carry out care plans.
• Perform comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual assessments to guide care decisions.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers, meeting them where they are.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure continuity and dignity.
• Document care clearly and accurately to reflect patient needs and progress.
• Participate in on-call or admission rotations as needed.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
