About The Position
Serenity Hospice Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse to serve patients and families throughout Wyoming Valley. The role provides after-hours nursing support, including call triage, responses to urgent clinical needs, on-call visits, symptom management, and care coordination. The nurse helps ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, individualized care in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team. The schedule is seven days on followed by seven days off, with every other week off. During scheduled on-call weeks, the nurse provides after-hours clinical support and care. The position offers a competitive salary, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and a benefits package. Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least one year of nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate approach to patient and family care.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.

- Hospice experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to after-hours calls from patients, families, and caregivers.
- Conduct on-call visits to address symptom management and urgent patient needs.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
- Educate and support patients and caregivers regarding hospice services, medications, and symptom management.
- Complete timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation.
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage according to the assigned schedule.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care reflecting the goals and wishes of each patient and family.
