About The Position

The Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse provides hospice patient care after hours and on weekends as needs arise. The role supports patients in spending quality time with loved ones and participating in activities they enjoy, while building trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and families. The nurse educates caregivers and helps patients and families maintain the greatest possible comfort and coping during after-hours emergencies. The posted schedule is Friday at 4:30 p.m. through Monday at 8 a.m.; schedules may also vary to meet agency staffing needs.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state where the employee works.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse; hospice experience is preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Flexibility to meet agency staffing needs; schedules may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on and seven days off.
