About The Position

Serenity Hospice Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time weekend Baylor position providing overnight hospice continuous care throughout Burlington, Camden, and Mercer Counties, New Jersey. The LPN provides bedside nursing care to hospice patients requiring continuous care. When continuous care is not needed, the LPN must report to and remain at a facility assigned by the clinical team for the scheduled shift. The role requires flexibility to work at assigned locations throughout the three-county service area.

The required schedule includes three overnight shifts each weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The LPN works under RN supervision and supports patients and families with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Requirements

• Hold a current, active New Jersey LPN license.
• Have strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Be able to work all three required overnight shifts each weekend.
• Be able to travel to assigned locations throughout the service area.
• Have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice, palliative care, or long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to the patient’s plan of care and under RN supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the LPN scope of practice.
• Monitor patient comfort, symptoms, and condition, and promptly report changes to the supervising RN.
• Support patients and families with compassion, dignity, and respect.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate with the hospice clinical team to support continuity of care.
• Report to and remain at a facility assigned by the clinical team when continuous care is not needed.
• Travel to assigned locations throughout Burlington, Camden, and Mercer Counties.
