About The Position

Silverado is hiring a PRN Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide skilled nursing and palliative care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. The role serves San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and Orange County, with travel to patient homes. The nurse delivers dignified, compassionate end-of-life care and works with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary Palliative team. The schedule is PRN (per diem), Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with variable shifts as needed to meet business needs. The role may require work outside regular hours based on patient needs. The anticipated pay range is $34–$38 USD.

Requirements

Valid LVN/LPN license in the state.
Minimum of 1 year of LVN/LPN experience.
CPR certification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort working around animals and pets.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
May be required to work outside regular hours based on patient needs.

Nice To Haves

Hospice experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver skilled nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Provide pain and symptom management, medical treatments, and patient education.
Support patients and families through end-of-life care with empathy and professionalism.
Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary Palliative team.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with Palliative protocols.
Travel to patient homes across San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and Orange County.
