About The Position

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a passionate, dedicated Hospice Cook to join their team. In this role, you will prepare and serve meals to patients, including those with special dietary needs, in a clean, safe, and respectful environment. Your work will bring daily comfort, dignity, and nourishment to those at the end of life. This is an opportunity to serve others with both skill and heart.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of cooking in a Health Care, Institutional or Restaurant Food Service

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook patient meals, including special diets, in a sanitary and safe manner
• Cook food in proper quantities based on the daily menu and patient census
• Check and log temperatures for food and refrigerated equipment to ensure safety and compliance
• Serve as first position on the serving line during meal service
• Stock and store food items properly upon delivery
• Follow cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and family information
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members
