About The Position

Care Initiatives Hospice is seeking a PRN Hospice Aide in the Greenfield and surrounding area. The aide provides personalized care to patients with life-limiting illnesses in the settings where they are most comfortable, including homes, long-term care communities, assisted living residences, and hospitals. The role supports patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and works collaboratively with family members, caregivers, and the healthcare team to honor patients' needs and wishes with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Requirements

• Active CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and automobile liability insurance.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations within the region.
• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification through CHPN within 24 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, and/or Certified Nursing Assistant during the previous 24 months.
• Hospice or palliative care experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Communicate and interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance health and daily routines.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
