About The Position
St. Croix Hospice is hiring a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on support to patients in their homes. The aide is part of an interdisciplinary care team and works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, helping patients with personal care and daily activities while promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life at the end of life. The role involves traveling to patient homes throughout the day and providing scheduled care. The position is located in Fremont, Nebraska. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotational weekends.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, skin and nail care, oral hygiene, and dressing and undressing.
- Record vital signs and report observations to the care team.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
- Promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety.
- Travel to patient homes throughout the day and provide care as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
